Kupwara, Nov 17 (KNO): Bullets and grenades have brought no justice and have destroyed families across the Valley, said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Ravinder Raina on Monday. He also called for an end to the bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir. Raina, while speaking to reporters during his visit to the home of SIA Inspector Asrar Ul Haq, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said the people in Jammu and Kashmir have lived through forty years of conflict. He said almost every family in the Valley has suffered due to continuous violence, adding that the cycle of killings has only produced loss and grief. The BJP’s senior leader said the neighbouring country has harmed its own population and has pushed Kashmir into more suffering. He said violence has taken lives and has not helped any community. “Killing of innocent people must stop, while the use of guns, grenades and bombs must end at the earliest”. He said Inspector Asrar’s sacrifice should inspire the youth to choose service and discipline. Raina praised the Jammu and Kashmir Police, saying the force has shown bravery for decades. Raina said it is among the top police forces in India because of its role in maintaining order during difficult periods. He said the nation salutes Inspector Asrar and all those who laid down their lives in the Nowgam blast. He said the country owes their sacrifice and stands with their families—(KNO)
